School Age

If your child does only one organized sport, it should be gymnastics. In our sport, we move in every direction, use all four limbs, learn spatial and body awareness, lift weight to improve strength (own body weight), and emphasize flexibility. Stretching is one of the most important lifelong skills to learn and maintain for healthy ligaments and muscles. Thus, gymnastics develops a powerful, yet flexible upper and lower body.
We have five sports in one! (Even for preschoolers) Vault teaches correct running technique and speed—also courage (running full speed toward a stationary object) and dynamic power! Balance Beam teaches not only balance, but concentration, center of gravity, gracefulness, and again, courage. (You should try something 3 feet off the ground and 4 inches wide.) Bars is an all over upper body work out. It also teaches timing, focus and body awareness. Floor Exercise combines many skills, including tumbling and dance. Learning routines teaches your child how to move his/her body in space with rhythm and control, not to mention moving forward, backwards, sideways, high, low, fast, slow and doing it all with disciplined form. Wow! The Men’s Events: pommel horse, parallel bars, high bar and rings are a workout most other sports couldn’t begin to compete with. Truly, gymnastics is an entire body work out. Gymnastics compliments all other sports. No matter what sports your children are in, gymnastics is a must in cross-training.

Ages 6+ (Entry Level Class)

Tramp And Tumble 4-6
